We chose Limcan Certified for our tankless hot water system because we had previously had an excellent experience with them installing our furnace and AC. That positive experience gave us enough confidence to choose Limcan again even though they were more expensive than other options.
Unfortunately, we now deeply regret that decision.
During the sales process, Haider made very clear promises about the tankless system providing extremely fast hot water and significantly less waiting time. These representations were an important part of our decision to purchase the system.
After installation, we discovered that the actual experience did not match what was promised.
A technician came to assess the issue and essentially confirmed what we were experiencing: what was promised during the sales process was not actually possible with the system. The technician specifically indicated that the expectations created during the sales process were inaccurate and that Steve/Stephen, the General Manager, needed to address the situation.
That was over five days ago.
Since then, we have repeatedly contacted Limcan’s customer support team. We have been promised callbacks multiple times. Nothing.
No call from the General Manager. No meaningful update. No ownership of the issue.
We have been told that Steve/Stephen is the final escalation point, yet the customer service team apparently cannot even pick up the phone and escalate the matter directly to him. Instead, the customer is simply expected to sit and wait for a callback that never comes.
This is absolutely unacceptable.
The biggest issue here isn’t even the tankless system. It’s the complete breakdown of trust.
We relied on what the salesperson told us. We paid a premium because we trusted Limcan’s reputation and our previous experience with the company. When it turned out that the expectations set during the sales process were not accurate, we expected Limcan to stand behind what was represented and work with us to find a reasonable solution.
Instead, we have been met with silence, repeated broken promises of callbacks, and a complete lack of accountability from management.
It’s particularly disappointing because our previous experience with Limcan was genuinely excellent. That experience is exactly what convinced us to come back. This time, however, Limcan has failed miserably on both service and accountability.
If you’re considering purchasing a tankless system from Limcan, my advice is simple:
Get every performance claim made by the salesperson in writing. Don’t rely on verbal promises.
Because when the promises don’t match reality, you may find yourself chasing the company for days just to get someone in management to return your call.
Very disappointing. We expected better from Limcan.
